Bhavya Ratadia
Bhavya joined BLUR Workshop in 2024 after earning a Master of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Upon graduation, he received Tau Sigma Delta recognition for academic excellence. While at Georgia Tech, Bhavya earned an honorable mention for his Portman Prize Competition Studio Project, Repairing Interchanges, which addressed urban scars created by the interstate highway system and proposed an autonomous transportation network and drone port system.
In the summer of 2023, Bhavya taught high school students in a pre-college design program at Georgia Tech, providing an overview of what to expect in a design school.
Bhavya completed a Bachelor of Architecture at CEPT University, India, where he is licensed to practice. His interest in architecture began in his teenage years, inspired by local carpenters building furniture in his home. This sparked a keen eye for detail and curiosity about construction. Bhavya's final year projects were recognized for academic excellence, and upon graduation, he was elected Program Ambassador for CEPT. At CEPT, Bhavya led the Architecture with Architects (AWA) club, organizing events with practicing architects.
Bhavya prefers to think and draw by hand. During his undergraduate program, he interned at a firm that speaks and operates only in German based in Zurich, Switzerland. He is convinced that the language barrier can be met easily in the design field through representation and visualisation skills which underscores his ability to communicate his ideas and passion for design.
Before pursuing a master’s degree, Bhavya worked at a firm out of Surat, India. Concurrently, he managed personal projects under his personal firm, handling client management, design presentations, contractor negotiations, and time management.
Outside of BLUR, Bhavya enjoys exploring natural trails and traveling around the city. He is fond of the sport cricket. He is eager to bring his multicultured skill set to the BLUR's team.
