The Cairo Festival City hotel connects to the larger Cairo Festival City development across a 20,700 SM public plaza and amphitheater that can be used for public gatherings, including markets and concerts. The luxury hotel rises above the plaza with an intricately patterned façade that draws inspiration from hieroglyphics and the details of Egyptian architecture. The intricate screening patterns shade the glass walls of the guestroom tower, protecting the rooms within from the intense Egyptian sun. The hotel is organized around a large linear greenspace, an internal oasis, that includes event lawns, terraces, the hotel resort pool and amenities, and gardens terracing to a resort clubhouse. Large villas surround the shared and secure green space. The hotel will provide unparalleled meeting and event spaces unique to the Cairo market with views and terraces to the gardens. A five-star luxury service 300 guestroom expansion was designed into the planning, as part of this unique luxury hotel balancing the hospitality needs of resort, shopping, business and group travelers.
